Well, we certainly do not have a glamorous home. We like it though. My father helped me purchase a 1988 trailer (manufactured home). I know that trailer is not what we are supposed to call it, but that is what it is. It sits in a trailer park here in our small town in Maine.
The trailer was built better than a lot, but definitely needs some repairs and updating. We are working on it. Some updates and repairs have already been made. More will be done.
Our lot is small, and has a big ol’ shed smack dab in the middle of my lawn, but I am trying to fix up the lot as well. I do a little more each year.
I lovingly call this my little homestead, as I am trying to make it so that I can grow most of our own fruits, vegetables, berries and herbs. It is a work in progress, and it is a lot of work.
I do intend to move onto my own homestead someday, but funds are not available to us at this time. I am also waiting for the girls to move out on their own.
