First, let me apologize for not updating the blog in a while. My daughter and I have both been dealing with medical issues, and I have had to put things on the back burner.
We only have a couple of weeks left for school here, then we will put together portfolios, which will not be able to be checked until August. Not that there is much left to do. The activities here right now consist of:
* Nature walks
* Making nature journal books
* Researching plants
* Looking at samples under the microscope
* Reading
* Preparing Zowie for her summer away
Zowie has been accepted into the Upward Bound Program at the university, which is a two/three summer program for college bound students. She will be choosing her activities for the summer next week, and she will leave June 20th. For six weeks, I will only see her two weekends. I will miss her, but this will be good for her. She alsready has most of her credits, so she is choosing many electives for the next couple of years to take advantage of this program.
Check it out here: Upward Bound
Have a nice weekend!
Shannon
